How to grow pincushion flower: Plant 2” apart, ½” deep - thin to 12” apart. Start indoors in late winter and plant out when the , or direct sow when the ground can be worked. These hardy plants are perennials in zones 3-11, and offer many blooms in their first year. Branching plants grow about 4’ tall which will produce more and more blooms beyond the first frost. Pincushion flower grows best in fertile, well drained soils in full sun.
