Sunflower seeds - tall teddy bear
These tall fluffy sunflowers are a branching variety and stand up to 7’ tall with large fluffy blooms up to 8” across. There are lots of delicious seeds hidden underneath all of that fluff! This is the only sunflower I grow, I can’t get enough of the otherworldly puff-ball on giant stalks. “Top” the plant by chopping off the first bloom to encourage a branching habit, resulting in multiple blooms.
Start sunflowers in place, they don’t really like to be transplanted. Fertilize your sunflower patch and leave 2-3’ in between plants. Sunflowers can be direct sown repeatedly after the last frost in your area. Sunflowers are heavy feeders, so be sure to fertilize your patch regularly, and especially if you want to plant something else there the following season.
Approximately 25 seeds
All of our seeds are organically grown and open pollinated in Qualicum Beach, BC
